The Cherokee County Water & Sewerage Authority is a public not-for-profit governmental entity.  The Authority has no taxing powers, is not party of Cherokee County government, and does not receive any tax revenue from county or city governments.  Therefore, CCWSA strives to operate in the most efficient and cost-effective manner while providing quality water and sewer services.

An annual audit is performed at the end of each fiscal year.  The Authority’s fiscal year ends on August 31.  According to the most recent audit report, the audit was clean and conformed to the highest accounting standards.  There were no material weaknesses, instances of noncompliance, or other matters that are required to be reported under government auditing standards.
